Dynamic Query - more capabilities
Location queries may now use alignments/links to limit a query with to-from section. This is especially relevant for export tasks, where road & rail models can be reduced to a defined section, e.g. when exporting to LandXML.
Reviced presentation rule - the name is Default
This presentation rule is updated according to the new feature type definitions. It includes e.g. better textures.
Animated oceans
Add 3D ocean simulation - for a more realistic rendering of ocean and water. Relevant for the 3D view.
Existing vegetation auto-generated in 3D
Visualize existing vegetation in your model more efficiently. In Novapoint Base you auto-generate trees within a given forest area (polygon) and trees will be populated, based on feature attributes.
Vivid and informative sections with solid geometry
With the overhauled corridor engine producing features with solid geometry, and with the introduction of photo-realistic trees-- model sections gain visual clarity. The result is more informative visualization and a more vivid user experience.
IFC - better and better
We are constantly improving Novapoint's support for IFC, as one of the key exchange formats to achieve Open BIM.
GML
We are constantly improving Novapoint's support for GML (along with IFC) this is one of the most important exchange formats to achieve Open BIM, and to support GIS data.
Stakeout - using Export File
We have done a lot with Novapoint Base' capabilities to export data for stakeout purposes. Especially to LandXML, where you can also limit a corridor by using from-to along the Alignment/Link.
Table - a new presentation view
We are proud to launch a brand new presentation view type called Table View. Use it to present information from the model in columns and rows, for better understanding model content, task result, quantity takeoff, etc. Find it under the View tab, or right click in the Explorer.
